Hello neighbors, friends, and family!Welcome to the 8th almost-annual and completely FREE Porch Party! We have renamed it starting this year because in the last couple of years “Porchfest” has acquired a very specific meaning, and we don’t want to be confused with that. (Although we were first in Central OH, not that we’re keeping score!)First things first, this is a live music event! In the past we have had children’s music, jazz fusion, rock and roll, folk duos, singer songwriters, blues bands, and just a large variety of live music from all over this very talented city. Find this year’s Porch Party band schedule at the bottom of this page. There will be tip buckets and online giving available for the musicians, so please plan to tip generously.Second, it’s a Potluck, so please bring a dish! Whatever you want to bring, that’s the correct answer. The Porch Party is a BYOB situation, so if you want a cold one while you’re listening to the music, bring your own cooler. (We’ll have a community cooler you can stash in as well)Third, we will have multiple very large shade tents and some chairs, but you might want to bring your own lawn chair or blanket. The Porch Party is a family friendly event, so bring the kids and grandkids. Shawn Price and the Residents Shawn Price is a folk rock singer-songwriter known for his soulful voice and honest lyrics. When combined with the all-star backing band The Residents they become a powerhouse of sound. more info

All Powerful Sungoddess is a unique female fronted indie band based in Columbus, Ohio. Heartfelt, homemade, folk-punk songs; featuring ukulele, drums, bass and kickass vocal harmonies. more info

October Ember Sometimes playful, sometimes poignant, October Ember is composed of Jennifer Dutiel and Kevin Holland, a multi-instrumentalist couple with a penchant for the quirky and the beautiful. Their music is a cross-pollination of folk, alternative, jazz, prog, & art pop, amongst other things. They are often joined by the madly talented & delightful Troy Kunkler on drums & vibraphone. more info

Lauren Izora is an upcoming singer songwriter who expertly crafts emotional intelligence and real-world experience into her songs, sometimes to devastating effect. She has been playing on stages in Columbus since she was 10 years old. more info
